Product Overview
Bluwat BLU DA Series PolyDADMAC is a liquid cationic polymer based on Poly(dimethyldiallylammonium chloride), also known as PolyDADMAC or PDADMAC. It is supplied in different solid contents and viscosity grades to meet different wastewater treatment and industrial process requirements.
In textile dyeing wastewater, color bodies, suspended solids and fine colloidal particles are often difficult to remove by simple sedimentation. PolyDADMAC provides strong positive charge density, helping destabilize negatively charged contaminants and improve the coagulation process. It can be used as a primary organic coagulant or together with inorganic coagulants such as Polyaluminium Chloride to improve color removal, floc strength and clarification efficiency.
This product is especially suitable for textile effluent treatment plants, dyeing wastewater pretreatment, color removal systems and industrial wastewater clarification processes where stable liquid dosing and fast dispersion are required.

Why Use PolyDADMAC for Textile Dye Wastewater
Textile and dyeing wastewater often contains reactive dyes, disperse dyes, organic colorants, surfactants, auxiliaries and fine suspended solids. These contaminants may remain stable in water because many of them carry negative charges or exist as fine colloidal particles.
PolyDADMAC works through charge neutralization and coagulation. Its high cationic charge density helps neutralize the negative charge of dye molecules and colloidal particles, allowing them to aggregate into larger flocs. After proper coagulation and flocculation, the treated wastewater can become clearer and easier to separate by sedimentation, flotation or filtration.
For many textile wastewater systems, PolyDADMAC can be used together with PAC and PAM. PolyDADMAC supports color removal and charge neutralization, PAC improves coagulation and phosphorus or suspended solids removal, while PAM helps form larger and stronger flocs for faster settling or sludge separation.

Recommended Treatment Process for Textile Dye Wastewater
For textile dye wastewater, the exact treatment process should be confirmed by jar test because dye type, COD, color strength, salinity, pH and suspended solids may vary greatly from factory to factory.
A common treatment sequence can be:
Dilution and Dosage
When PolyDADMAC is used alone, it is recommended to dilute it to 0.5–5% concentration based on solid content before dosing.
The final dosage should be determined by jar test according to the wastewater color, turbidity, contaminant concentration and treatment target. The dosing point and mixing speed should be carefully controlled to ensure even chemical dispersion while avoiding floc breakage.
For textile dye wastewater, Bluwat can help customers select the suitable PolyDADMAC grade and recommend a jar test program based on actual wastewater samples.
Use with PAC and PAM
PolyDADMAC can be used alone or in combination with inorganic coagulants such as Polyaluminium Chloride. In many textile wastewater systems, combined treatment may give better performance than using only one chemical.
PolyDADMAC helps with charge neutralization and color removal. PAC supports coagulation and clarification. PAM improves floc size, settling speed and sludge separation. The best combination and dosage ratio should be confirmed by laboratory testing before full scale operation.
