Product Overview
PolyDADMAC, also known as PDADMAC or Poly(dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride), is a high charge density cationic polymer widely used in mining wastewater treatment, mineral processing, sludge dewatering, and industrial clarification.
In phosphate rock beneficiation, slime wastewater often contains ultrafine phosphate particles, clay minerals, silica, carbonate impurities, and suspended solids. These fine particles are difficult to settle naturally because of their small particle size and stable surface charge. Poor slime separation can lead to high turbidity, slow thickening, poor dewatering performance, and lower process water recovery.

Working Principle
High Charge PolyDADMAC improves phosphate rock slime dewatering mainly through charge neutralization and floc formation.
Treatment mechanism:
- Fine phosphate slime particles and clay minerals carry negative surface charges.
- PolyDADMAC provides positive charge to neutralize these particles.
- Destabilized particles aggregate into larger flocs.
- Larger flocs settle faster and release water more easily.
- Clarified water can be recovered for reuse.

Application Method & Selection
For phosphate rock slime dewatering, PolyDADMAC should be selected according to slime concentration, particle size distribution, mineral composition, pH condition, and treatment equipment.
When used alone, PolyDADMAC is normally diluted to 0.5–5% concentration based on solid content before dosing. The optimum dosage should be confirmed by jar testing and plant trial.
