Stable Raw Water Pretreatment with BLUWAT® PAC in a Large-Scale Thermal Power Plant

Industry: Power Generation
Application: Raw Water Pretreatment
Product:BLUWAT® Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC)
Region: Eurasia (Anonymized)

Background

Large-scale thermal power plants require continuous and stable raw water pretreatment to ensure the safe operation of boilers, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment. Even minor fluctuations in water quality can directly impact plant reliability and operational safety.

From the commissioning stage of the power plant, Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC) was identified as acritical coagulation reagent for the pretreatment process.

Solution: Selection of BLUWAT® PAC

After technical evaluation, the plant selected BLUWAT® PAC for raw water flocculation based on its proven performance in industrial water treatment applications. The product was applied under routine operating conditions and continuously assessed through daily operation records and laboratory testing.

Results

The long-term use of BLUWAT® PAC delivered:

  • Stable flocculation performance under varying raw water conditions

  • No deterioration in treated water quality over time

  • Smooth and uninterrupted plant operation

  • High consistency between PAC performance and downstream treatment processes

Operational observations confirmed that BLUWAT® PAC responds well to raw water characteristics and consistently supports high-quality water purification.

Conclusion

This case demonstrates that selecting a high-quality, technically consistent PAC supplier is critical for thermal power plant pretreatment systems. BLUWAT® PAC proved to be a reliable solution for ensuring long-term operational stability in continuous power generation environments.
