Certified Cationic Polymer for Reliable Water Clarification and Wastewater Treatment
BLUWAT PolyDADMAC Cationic Flocculant Polymer is a high charge density liquid polymer designed for industrial and municipal water purification. It is widely used for turbidity reduction, suspended solids removal, effluent clarification, color removal support and sludge dewatering.
With NSF and ZDHC certification, this PolyDADMAC product is suitable for customers who require stable treatment performance, reliable chemical quality and stronger compliance support for water treatment and industrial wastewater applications.
PolyDADMAC, also known as PDADMAC or Poly Dimethyl Diallyl Ammonium Chloride, works mainly through charge neutralization. It helps destabilize negatively charged particles, colloids and organic impurities in water, allowing them to form larger flocs and separate more easily by sedimentation, flotation or filtration.

Product Overview
BLUWAT BLU DA Series PolyDADMAC is supplied as a colorless to light yellow liquid with 20% to 50% solid content. It is available in different viscosity and molecular weight grades to match different raw water, wastewater and sludge treatment conditions.
The product is easy to dilute, pump and dose, making it suitable for continuous operation in municipal water treatment plants, municipal wastewater treatment plants and industrial effluent treatment systems.
It can be used alone as an organic coagulant or together with inorganic coagulants such as Polyaluminium Chloride to improve floc formation, clarification efficiency and treatment stability.
Key Benefits
NSF Certified for Municipal Water Treatment
For municipal water purification, chemical certification is an important selection factor. BLUWAT PolyDADMAC is available with NSF certification, supporting its use in water treatment applications where certified coagulants are required.
It helps improve turbidity removal, suspended solids reduction and water clarification in municipal water treatment systems.
ZDHC Certified for Industrial and Textile Compliance
For industrial wastewater, especially textile dyeing and finishing wastewater, ZDHC certification supports customers who need responsible chemical management and supply chain compliance.
This makes BLUWAT PolyDADMAC suitable for textile mills, dyeing factories, washing plants and other industrial users that follow ZDHC-related chemical requirements.
High Charge Density for Strong Flocculation
PolyDADMAC has strong cationic charge density. It quickly neutralizes negatively charged suspended particles and colloids in water, helping form larger and more stable flocs.
This improves clarification performance and supports better solid-liquid separation.
Suitable for Industrial and Municipal Water Purification
The product can be used in both municipal and industrial systems, including drinking water clarification, municipal wastewater treatment, textile effluent, paper mill wastewater, chemical wastewater, mining water and sludge dewatering.
Easy-to-Use Liquid Form
Liquid PolyDADMAC is easier to handle than powder polymers. It can be diluted quickly and dosed by chemical dosing pumps, which supports stable daily operation in treatment plants.
Can Be Used Alone or with PAC
BLUWAT PolyDADMAC can be used alone or combined with Polyaluminium Chloride. In many water treatment systems, the combination of PolyDADMAC and PAC can improve floc strength, settling speed and final water clarity.
Supports Sludge Dewatering
PolyDADMAC can also help improve sludge conditioning before mechanical dewatering. It supports better floc structure, clearer filtrate and more stable sludge-water separation.

Main Applications
Municipal Water Purification
In municipal water treatment plants, PolyDADMAC can be used to improve clarification, turbidity reduction and suspended solids removal.
It helps fine particles and colloids form larger flocs, which can then be removed by sedimentation and filtration. NSF certified PolyDADMAC is suitable for projects where certified water treatment chemicals are required.
Municipal Wastewater Treatment
In municipal wastewater treatment systems, PolyDADMAC supports primary clarification, sludge conditioning and solid-liquid separation.
It can help improve floc formation, reduce suspended solids and support more stable operation when influent quality changes.
Industrial Wastewater Treatment
Industrial wastewater often contains fine suspended solids, organic impurities, colloids, oils, dyes or difficult-to-settle particles. PolyDADMAC helps destabilize these impurities and improves clarification.
It is suitable for chemical plants, food processing plants, metal processing wastewater, paper mills, textile factories, mining wastewater and other industrial effluent systems.
Textile Effluent Treatment
Textile wastewater can contain dyes, surfactants, suspended solids and color-causing organic compounds. ZDHC certified PolyDADMAC supports textile wastewater treatment where both performance and chemical compliance are important.
It can be used together with decolorizing agent, PAC and PAM to improve color reduction, turbidity removal and flocculation performance.
Paper Mill Wastewater
In paper mill wastewater treatment, PolyDADMAC helps remove suspended fibers, fine particles and organic color. It can also support sludge formation and improve dewatering performance.
Mining Water Clarification
For coal washing, gold mining, diamond mining and other mineral processing water, PolyDADMAC helps remove fine suspended solids and improve process water clarification.
Sludge Dewatering
PolyDADMAC can be used for sludge conditioning before filter press, belt press, screw press or centrifuge. It helps improve floc structure and supports better water release from sludge.
How PolyDADMAC Works
Many suspended solids and colloids in water carry negative charges. These charges keep the particles dispersed and stable, making them difficult to settle naturally.
PolyDADMAC provides strong positive charges. After dosing, it neutralizes the negative surface charges on particles and colloids. Once destabilized, the particles can collide and form larger flocs.
These flocs can then be separated by sedimentation, dissolved air flotation, filtration or sludge dewatering equipment.
This charge neutralization mechanism makes PolyDADMAC effective for water purification, wastewater clarification and sludge treatment.
Recommended Use Method
For water treatment, PolyDADMAC can be used alone or together with Polyaluminium Chloride.
When used alone, it is recommended to dilute the product to 0.5% to 5% concentration based on solid content before dosing.
The actual dosage depends on raw water turbidity, wastewater composition, suspended solids concentration, color level, pH value and treatment target. Jar testing is recommended before full-scale application.
The dosing point and mixing speed should be carefully controlled. The product should be mixed evenly with water or wastewater, but excessive mixing should be avoided after flocs are formed because strong shear may break the flocs.
Typical Municipal Water Treatment Process
Step 1: Test raw water turbidity and suspended solids
Step 2: Adjust pH if required by the treatment process
Step 3: Dose PolyDADMAC or PolyDADMAC with PAC
Step 4: Rapid mix for even dispersion
Step 5: Slow mix for floc formation
Step 6: Remove flocs by sedimentation and filtration
Step 7: Optimize dosage according to final water quality
Typical Industrial Wastewater Treatment Process
Step 1: Test wastewater pH, turbidity, color and suspended solids
Step 2: Adjust pH if needed according to jar test result
Step 3: Add PolyDADMAC as cationic coagulant
Step 4: Add PAC if stronger coagulation is required
Step 5: Add PAM flocculant if larger flocs and faster settling are needed
Step 6: Separate flocs by sedimentation, DAF or filtration
Step 7: Check final effluent clarity and optimize dosage
Product Selection Guide
Choose lower viscosity grades when easy pumping, fast dilution and lower molecular weight performance are required.
Choose medium viscosity grades for general municipal water purification and industrial wastewater clarification.
Choose high viscosity grades when stronger floc formation, better sludge conditioning or more difficult wastewater conditions are involved.
For textile color wastewater, mining wastewater or sludge dewatering, jar test or on-site trial is recommended to confirm the most suitable grade and dosage.
