Product Overview
PolyDADMAC, also known as PDADMAC or Poly(dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride), is a water-soluble cationic polymer with strong charge neutralization ability. It is widely used in municipal wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, clarification, and solid-liquid separation processes.
In municipal sewage treatment plants, sludge generated from primary sedimentation, biological treatment, and secondary clarification often contains organic matter, suspended solids, colloidal particles, and high water content. Application Method
For municipal sewage sludge dewatering, PolyDADMAC should be selected according to sludge type, concentration, organic content, pH value, and equipment. When used alone, it is normally diluted to 0.5–5% concentration. The optimum dosage should be confirmed by jar testing. Avoid excessive shear after flocs are formed.
Selection Guidance
For high colloidal content, test medium to high molecular weight grades. For fast dispersion, lower viscosity grades are suitable. For difficult dewatering, higher molecular weight grades help improve floc strength and water release.
